The Lapworth 50 was built in the early 1960′s to race the Transpac. Only 6 of these vessels were built. This boat was 3rd in her class in the 1963 Transpac and won the 1993 Classic Mariner’s Race in 1993 having been clocked in the Milokai Channel @ 16.8 knots. S/V “Trimani” is a wood sailing sloop featuring a planing hull and construction having a raked stern and bow, round bilge, fin keel, spade rudder and canoe stern.
