New, very traditional gaff wooden schooner under construction in SW Nova Scotia.
She’s built with old growth heritage yellow pine topsides, white oak and hackmatack below, steamed white oak ribs and copper rivets, strengthened with over 100 hackmatack knees. Gaff main and overlapping fore jib on the bowsprit and a fisherman, E-motor, spartan interior with a little cod stove.
Very simple, clean and sweet. Ready for spring launch.
