PUBLIC PROGRAMS AT SWBC
The Spaulding Wooden Boat Center enjoys a unique location on the Sausalito waterfront, and will use this location to further the public understanding of traditional wooden boatbuilding methods, materials and standards, as well as the context in which these developed.
SWBC plans to offer a range of public programs that allow public access to the historic boatyard and the waterfront, including classes, workshops, events and forums on subjects ranging from traditional boatbuilding skills to the preservation of the historic Sausalito waterfront.
SWBC hopes to help coordinate and enhance waterfront preservation efforts, and help the public understand and appreciate the rich history and tradition of Bay Area boating.
