Life on the Dock: Richardson Bay marine biology under our floating docks

Sausalito resident Michael Konrad retired from a career as a biochemist and molecular biologist to focus on the marine life along the Richardson Bay shore. His book, "Life on the Dock", describes the animals and plants that grow on the edges of the floating docks that make up our boat harbors. The inhabitants on and around the docks represent a huge diversity of size and life style and we can learn a great deal of biology from our neighbors on the dock. A modest microscope, a few books, and access to the Internet enable the beginning biologist to acquire a basic understanding of the science of biology.
