An Evening with the Crew of S/V Sea Dragon and Pangaea Exploration

Come spend an evening with experienced world voyagers Eric Loss and Shanley McEntee. Together they’ve sailed 200,000 nautical miles around the globe.

In 2011-2012 at the age of 25, Eric completed a solo, one-stop circumnavigation via the Southern Ocean in his Islander 36, Odyssey. Captains Eric and Shanley have sailed extensively together throughout the Pacific and Atlantic while working aboard Sea Dragon, a Challenge 72 cutter and former around-the-world racer, taking teams of scientists and adventurers to remote locations.

On their most recent expedition, they took coral reef biologists from Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution to research reefs in the Phoenix Islands Protected Area. In their spare time, they also sail their Pouvreau 42 cutter and Antarctic veteran Fleur Australe throughout the Atlantic and high latitudes of Newfoundland, Greenland, and Iceland.

Come for an evening of sea stories and adventure that span every ocean on the planet!
