At Spaulding, our Summer Sea Camp offers a truly unique summer camp experience for your child (aged 11-15).

Based out of our historic and fully active boatyard, campers will learn about the history and geography of the bay area from aboard our historic sailboat, Freda, and further explore the way our landscape and ecology is shaped by the winds and tides as we hike headland trails to secluded beach coves, and fish from the rocks of local piers.

We will hone our creative and technical skills as we make our own fishing poles, wood block carvings, and prints in the ship yard woodshop, and learn about the native flora and fauna of our watershed through envolvement with ongoing local stewardship and citizen science projects.

In all our activities, we strive to learn through hands on envolvement, observation, and art.

The camp culminates in a sailing trip to and overnight campout on nearby Angel Island.
