The Spaulding Wooden Boat Center is a fully non-profit and tax-exempt California public benefit corporation, organized under chapter 501(c)(3) of the United States Internal Revenue Code. As such, it needs your help to support its programs—both financially and through your expertise and time volunteering at the Center.

The Spaulding Center is a resource for training skilled craftsmen to service the maritime industry, as a means to save, restore and return to the water historically significant wooden vessels, and ultimately will emerge as a vibrant community focal point where all those with similar interests can meet and exchange information.

All the components are in place, and SWBC is strategically positioned to accomplish its goals with your support, through tax-deductible, charitable gifts, grants, corporate sponsorships, endowments for the future, and volunteer work.

The Freda restoration project is expected to cost approximately $250,000, and proposed after-school and continuing educational programs will require an ongoing endowment.

We hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to help preserve an important part of our maritime heritage—and leave a legacy for future generations to enjoy.
