Woodworking Class - Galley Cutting Board

$250.00

Date: January 28 and 29 - Wednesday and Thursday evening 6 to 9 pm.

Build skills in the woodshop and create a beautiful cutting board that is the perfect size for life aboard your boat (or home). This introductory and refresher-level class is a great way to get comfortable in the shop while working on a project that is useful, durable, and built to handle galley duty.

In this hands-on class you will learn the safe use of essential woodworking machines and hand tools while practicing techniques such as bunging, layout, and cutting clean, precise curves. Along the way, you will develop the fundamentals needed for future boat projects, from trim repairs to small joinery work. This class is an ideal first step toward the more advanced woodworking and boatbuilding classes offered at Spaulding throughout the year.

You will leave the course with practical shop confidence, a solid foundation of core skills, and a handcrafted cutting board ready for your next picnic, dockside gathering, or day out on the water.

Your class tuition helps support Spaulding youth programs and BW101, thank you!
