Spaulding Marine Center will be at this year’s Wooden Boat Show at the Corinthian Yacht Club with Freda and Dixie.
Freda was built in 1885 and is the oldest private yacht on the West Coast still in operation. She’s been part of San Francisco Bay for well over a century and is still out on the water today.
Dixie is a newer build, but based on a traditional New England working design that goes back to the early 1800s. Boats like her were used for lobstering and everyday coastal work, built to be simple, durable, and dependable.
